The programmes offered by the Japan Society to its Members include:

  • Luncheon and dinner meetings with Canadian and Japanese business persons, legal and accounting professionals, academics and senior government representatives, dealing with issues, initiatives, projects and ventures of importance and interest to Members of the Society;
  • Orientations and seminars to introduce Japanese business customs and practices to Canadian business executives and their advisors;
  • Presentations of all facets of Japanese culture, including art exhibitions, films and various performing arts of Japan, in Canada;
  • Annual Ambassador’s Cup Golf Tournament held every summer, often at Glen Abbey Golf Course in Oakville, Ontario.


The Japan Society regularly works and cooperates with other organizations, such as the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Toronto, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (CCCJ), the National Association of Japan American Societies (NAJAS), the Toronto Japanese Association of Commerce and Industry (Toronto Shokokai), and the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre (JCCC), to bring programming to Canadian business people, their professional advisors, academics and representatives of government.
